  Dell Rhea's Chicken Basket started as a lunch counter in a gas station on Route 66 in the 1920's soon offering great chicken. In 1946, the garage bays were converted into a dining room. Dell Rhea's has been a Chicagoland favorite ever since.
  
  The Chicken is great though some argue that nearby White Fence Farm is better. Dell Rhea's does not have corn fritters but does offer Chicken featured on Diners Drive-ins and Dives as well as Gizzards, Livers and Wings. The menu includes a range of options including Burgers, Seafood, Salads, Desserts, Beer, Wine, and Cocktails.
  
  Try Dell Rhea's or White Fence Farm for more than chicken. These are an authentic Route 66 treats.

  Excellent diner that we never expected to be as delicious as it actually was! Wait staff was slower than expected, which was most likely due to the holiday. This was surpassed by the great wait staff and delectable food.

  If I can give it a zero I would. We walked in waited a minute or two to be seated. There where 4 tables seated already. We waited almost 10 minutes before our drinks were taken, not to mention we weren't served our biscuits. Another waiter who was suppose to be off shift took over our table. Another family was seated next to us after our order was taken and they were served bread as soon they were seated. We finally go our biscuits, after we asked. I ordered the chicken sandwich, thinking you can't go wrong. But I was wrong, there was more bread than chicken. The chicken wings were good and so were the potatoe skins. I am extremely dissatisfied with our experience! Even though our waiter who came in and took over our table, because the waiter assigned to us never checked in, tried her best to accommodate us. I will NEVER recommend this place.
